VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology) follows a transparent mechanism for admission. It administers its own entrance examination, VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) at 145 centres in 119 cities across India and also in Dubai, Muscat and Kuwait for admission to BTech programmes.

VITEEE is a common entrance examination and eligible candidates can select the courses offered at VIT Vellore Campus, Chennai campus, Bhopal campus and Amaravati campus on the day of counselling as per the order of benefit and availableness.

Year after year, VITEEE (Pronounced witty) has been gaining popularity. Similarly, it administers VITMEE (VIT Masters Entrance Examination) for the MCA, MTech programmes. For MBA programmes, a valid CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / NMAT score is required. For BA.LLB and BBA.LLB a valid LSAT / CLAT score is required. For B.Arch NATA score is required.

VITEEE will be conducted in 2nd and 3rd week of April every year. The period of the examination is going to be Two and a half hours. The exam will be conducted as three sessions per day.

• 1st session: 09.00 am TO 11.30 am
• 2nd session: 12.30 pm TO 03.00 pm
• 3rd session: 04.00 pm TO 06.30 pm

Exam pattern:

There will be 125 questions and these questions will be MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) and there are no negative marks. 40 questions from physics, 40 questions from chemistry, 40 questions from Maths \ Biology and 5 questions from English. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative mark as I mentioned above. The period of the examination is Two hours and half hours. Eligibility:

Candidates who are appearing or have passed the 10+2 higher secondary examination that is conducted by ISC, CBSE any State board. The candidates were born on or after July 1997. Candidates appearing for the VITEEE should have secured an aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry and maths\biology in +2. Click here for more details
