VIT Admission for B.E/B.Tech

VIT University will conduct VITEEE online tentatively in April. The entrance exam will be held for admissions to any of the 20 B.Tech programmes offered at the VIT campuses located in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati and Bhopal. The VITEEE application forms will be available tentatively from the second week of November. It is now mandatory for candidates to enter their Aadhaar details and upload their Aadhaar copy along with the application form of VITEEE.

The application forms of VITEEE can be obtained both offline and online. Since VITEEE is online, candidates have to book their test slots before they can download their admit card. Slot booking will be opened in March. VITEEE will be held across multiple sessions across 119 exam cities including India and abroad. The result of VITEEE will be announced tentatively in the last week of April. Candidates who qualify in the exam will be called for the offline counselling that will likely be held in two rounds in May. Candidates will have to indicate their preferences of courses and campuses during counselling if they qualify for the same. Candidates will be required to attend the VITEEE counselling in person.

VIT Exam centres

Candidates must choose the exam centre of their choice while filling in the application form. VITEEE will be held in 119 cities across 33 states and Union territories. VITEEE will also be held abroad in three centres namely Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat. Candidates, however, will have a choice to confirm their VITEEE exam centres while booking them slots for the test. Since the slot booking is in real time, candidates have to check whether the exam centre for VITEEE is available or not.

VITEEE Admit Card

Once the candidates have booked their slots, an electronic admit card of VITEEE will be generated. Candidates must take a printout of the same and carry it to the exam centre on the date of the exam. The VITEEE admit card will display the photograph of the student along with the admit card number, test centre details as well as the exam schedule. Candidates must check that all the information that is mentioned on the VITEEE admit card is correct.

If there is any discrepancy, then it should be brought to the notice of the VIT University at the earliest VITEEE admit card will also be sent through e-mail to the candidates. Candidates must ensure that they carry with them the admit card on the day of the exam and it should be in good condition and not mutilated.

VITEEE Counselling

The counselling for VITEEE will take place in two phases for those candidates who have cleared the VITEEE exam. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of the rank secured by them in the VITEEE entrance exam. It is imperative for the candidates to attend the counselling in person. Candidates will be informed about the counselling schedule through SMS and email. The number of seats available for each branch at different participating institutes will be displayed at the counselling centre.

Accordingly, candidates can make an appropriate choice. Failure of the candidates to attend the counselling on the allotted date and time will result in the cancellation of his candidature. Shortlisted candidates will be able to participate in counselling only after the verification of their documents. Candidates will have to bring with them the specified documents in original along with two sets of photocopies at the time of counselling. Payment has to be done by demand draft drawn in favour of VIT University payable at Vellore.

VITEEE Application Form

The application form of VITEEE will be available both online and offline tentatively from the first week of November. Candidates can check the procedure of filling the application form of VITEEE below. Candidates need to keep a ready scanned copy of the passport size photograph and signature which has to be uploaded in the space that is provided on the online VITEEE application form.

1. Passport size colour photograph 3.5 x 4.5 cm, 50 kb-100 kb, JPG/JPEG format.
2. Signature 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm, 20kb-50kb, JPG/JPEG format.

Online application form for VITEEE

Candidates can register to fill the VITEEE application form by entering their name, nationality, date of birth, e-mail address and mobile number. A password will be generated and candidates can log in and fill the other details in the application form. VITEEE online application fees are Rs 970 (It may change) to be paid either through net banking, debit card, credit card.

Offline application form of VITEEE

• Candidates can get the VITEEE application form in person form the Vellore or the Chennai campus through a demand draft of Rs 990 in favour of "VIT University" payable at Vellore
• They can also get the VITEEE application form from the designated post offices by paying Rs 990 in cash.
• Candidates must fill the OMR application form carefully and sent it in the envelope that is provided.
• They must affix a photograph as specified in the application form and sign at the designated place. The signature of the parent or guardian is also mandatory.
• The filled up VITEEE application should be sent either through registered post or speed post. Candidates will receive an SMS about the receipt of the application form of VITEEE.
